The seventies were an economic disaster because of the spending and the Vietnam war in the sixties.
The next President will NOT be re-elected, cause he will inherit Bush's mess and printing more dollars is not an option anymore. It would put the American Economy back to the Stone Age. The next president has to take very unpopular actions (raising taxes) to avoid an imminent economic collapse.

Yep Iraq is a waste of money ... money that could be used to help the people of the U-S-A, but no "it's all about the Benjamins, baby".
