As expected

the corporate owned US government is going to bailout EVERY company in the US. The USA can now officially be called "bailout nation" where it doesn't matter what you do, the government will never let you fail. There is no capitalism left in the US, communism rules EVEN with a Republican President.
In an economy based on capitalism, the bad companies go bankrupt, the good ones take over the assets from the bad companies and thrive. There were numerous banks that didn't get caught into the MBS web. They should be rewarded and should gain market share. However the US government interferes with the free market and we saw earlier that the public and the stockmarket don't like that one little bit.

Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, AIG, Fannie May, Freddie Mac, all other banks, GM, Ford, Chrysler, ALL airlines, ...

This will not have a happy ending.

Propping up bankrupt companies will result in hyperinflation and we all know who the Germans chose to solve the problems after the Weimar Republic collapsed... HITLER!

Are you embarrassed Mr President?

On the day President-elect Obama is visiting theWhite House, a new national poll suggests that the current occupant at 1600Pennsylvania Avenue is the most unpopular president since approval ratings were first measured more than six decades ago.

"No other president's disapproval rating has gone higher than 70 percent. Bush has managed to do that three times so far this year," said CNN PollingDirector Keating Holland.

Bush's approval rating at an all-time, record low

After being the dumbest president ever, he is now officially the WORST president EVER.

No, the 700 billion gift to the banks was NOT a good idea

The word is starting to get out.

Many Americans are understandably outraged by the bailout fever that has gripped Washington this year. But even those who believe the bailouts are a "necessary evil" would have a hard time defending some of the bailout-related items that have come to light in recent days, including:

-->Financial institutions using TARP bailout money to pay executive bonuses. (50 BILLION!!!)

-->The Fed refusing to reveal who received almost $2 trillion in non-TARP loans, or what collateral it has accepted from "emergency" loans made to struggling firms, as Bloomberg reports.

-->The Treasury Department providing a tax break to banks involved in acquisitions that could amount to $140 billion.

Gifts + Corruption = MOB

Fed Defies Transparency Aim in Refusal to Identify Bank Loans

The Federal Reserve is refusing to identify the recipients of almost $2 trillion of emergency loans from American taxpayers or the troubled assets the central bank is accepting as collateral.

Bloomberg News has requested details of the Fed lending under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act and filed a federal lawsuit Nov. 7 seeking to force disclosure.

Groceries

We paid 38 dollars for those groceries. Amazing!

The 1 - 2 - 3 combo of Moral hazard

This is happening all over the world, I call it the "1-2-3 combo of moral hazard":
1. Banks are insolvent (aka bankrupt)
2. Government gives them all the money they want, but the government doesn't have that money
3. The government asks the IMF (International Monetary Fund) for money...
Possible part 4 of the combo: IMF asks money from the Arabic world
Why isn't there any revolution? Why are people just letting their government destroy their country? Why are people so ignorant about this?

It is not because the money doesn't directly come out of your pocket, that it is free.
The debt will have to be paid, and hyperinflation is the most likely way. And that will destroy all the wealth that's left in the Western world. Economically speaking: Zimbabwe is not as far away as some people might think...

After Despising the Arabic World for decades, for their "archaic" culture and economy

They are asked to come to the rescue of the implosion of the Western (Greed) Economies. The IMF is handing out loans like candies to all Western countries, but there is only 1 problem. They don't have any money ... the only people with wealth left are the "dictators from the "archaic" Arabic World".

From the Republican news channel: FOX:

Our taxdollars at work part 5

"Who'd have thought we might be on the hook for paying the defense costs when we're also paying the prosecution costs?"
Taxpayers may be on the hook for millions of dollars in legal bills for Fannie, Freddie execs
When the Treasury Department delivered a $200 billion bailout to Fannie and Freddie, that obligation passed to the government, which may find itself paying for the lawyers defending the executives against the government's own prosecutors.

It appears that the $700 billion gift to the banks seems to work after all...

The NEXT domino to drop

Credit Cards and the credit card companies:
So, did American consumers cut back on borrowing? Not if they had a credit card! Total loans from commercial banks to consumers grew by $89 billion for the 12 months ending in September. $61 billion of that was credit card debt, and the amount in recent weeks has exploded.

* Credit Card Loans, 10 months Sep07-thru-Jul-08 ... up + $29.1 billion
* Credit Card Loans, 10 weeks Aug-08-to-mid-Oct-08 ... up + $32.3 billion

In other words, Commercial Bank 'exposure' via the total amount of Credit Card 'loans' outstanding has risen MORE in the last ten WEEKS, than it did in the previous ten MONTHS COMBINED !!!

False Pretences: The Sequel

First the "weapons of mass destruction", starting a war under false pretences... NOW using 700 billion of taxpayer's money under false pretences!

The $700 billion was given to Bush to supposedly to stop the stock market from crashing, to get loans flowing again, and to buy up bad debt.

0 for 3

The stock market crashed anyway. The loans aren't flowing. And the bad debt didn't get bought up.

Instead, the money is being given away in the night to big banks, a point that WAS NOT EVEN DISCUSSED DURING THE DEBATE OR IN THE MEDIA. It's being given away on laughable terms, not even close to what the free market would pay, and the banks are using it to buy up smaller banks, and also giving their executives obscene bonuses, and paying their shareholders (who should have been wiped out and weren't) their juicy dividends.

The American people got robbed. Or are getting robbed (present tense). Like never before. To the tune of $700,000,000,000 cash.

Bush - American People: 2 - 0
