Quote of the day

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

- Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1956

T-w-e-n-t-y S-e-v-e-n dollars a barrel

that was the price of oil before George Walker Bush decided to invade and occupy Iraq... the price for oil is now $132 a barrel. His strategy of helping his Halliburton - Saoudi Arabian friends is working out quite well. They are making tons of money while the average American is losing his/her shirt.

And if you would wonder why did Bush invade and occupy Iraq? This has all the answers.

This is no 50 cent home

The Socialist party in Belgium wants to raise childcare to 150 euro per child per month...

On this subject I agree with the policy of the Americans: The government shouldn't support you if YOU decide to have XXX kids. It is the responsibility of the citizens to take care of their children. If you decide to have 5 kids, I (as a taxpayer) am not willing to pay for the "upkeep" of your children. I have not taken a decision to have them.

You made them, now you feed and support them.

Home update

Our means of transportation:
Not a lot has changed since the last update. Before the pre-drywall phase was finished we had a home inspector coming over to check the home. Some of the windows were not installed correctly, the window company has now corrected some of the windows. The next phase will start tomorrow, they will close everything up.

2 More weeks ...

Quote of the day

Never, never, never believe any war will be smooth and easy, or that anyone who embarks on the strange voyage can measure the tides and hurricanes he will encounter. The statesman who yields to war fever must realize that once the signal is given, he is no longer the master of policy but the slave of unforeseeable and uncontrollable events.

Sir Winston Churchill
