1. At least 10 million American jobs will be lost.(first 11 months of 2008: 1.9 million)
2. At this time, you need about 10 ounces of gold to buy 1 share of the Dow Jones. During 2009 you can buy the Dow Jones with 6 ounces of gold or less.
3. Bush and Cheney will be sued by Americans and foreigners for what they have done the last few years.
4. The US will devalue the dollar, either by a "real" devaluation or by printing money. The USD index (around 81 now) will reach 60 somewhere in 2009. ($ - 25%)
5. At least 1 company in the Dow Jones will go bankrupt, not because of the bad economy, but because the bad economy makes it more difficult to hide their "phony accounting" (like ENRON). I think that company will be General Electric or Bank of America.

I hope I can beat the 3.5/5 from last year.
