Talk about bad timing, we can lock our rate in 90 days prior to closing...

auch, so it's not similar to our system whereby any offer a bank is making has to stand for 3 months?

No we don't have to pay anything until we close. Except the earnest money (signing money for the contract) which is $7500. That is the reason the US is in such a mess. People are just walking away because homes are worth less than they purchased(signed) them 6 months ago. Domino effect...

I will use that to negotiate some extra incentives at the end :-)
